Assessment task 1
For this assessment task, the students will complete an advertising journal or portfolio. They will be presented with a series of worksheets to complete throughout this unit as well as prompts for written reflection. You can elect to draw on some or all of these formative assessment tasks to comprise the journal.

- Students select specific details from texts to develop their own response, recognising that texts reflect different viewpoints.
- Students understand how text structures can influence the complexity of a text and are dependent on audience, purpose and context (in relation to advertisements).
